Front Truck

• Equalizers: Inspect for cracks or abnormalities.

W-Bracket Assembly

• W-BRACKET: Inspect for cracks or abnormalities.
• LINKS: Inspect for cracks or abnormalities.
• BULBs: Inspect for cracks or abnormalities.
• Cotter Pins: Ensure proper installation and security.

Suspension System

• Equalizing Beams: Inspect for cracks or abnormalities.
• Inner Helical Springs: Inspect for cracks or abnormalities.
• Outer Helical Springs: Inspect for cracks or abnormalities.
• Horizontal Dampers: Inspect for leaks or damage.
• Vertical Dampers: Inspect for leaks or damage.
• ‘D' Shackle: Inspect for cracks or abnormalities.

• H-TYPE BOLSTER: Inspect for cracks or abnormalities.
• Helical Springs: Inspect for cracks or abnormalities.
• Friction Dampers: Inspect for leaks or damage.

All Locomotive Inspections

Axle Boxes

• Axle Box Covers: Ensure properly fixed and free from abnormalities.
• Stay Plates: Ensure properly fixed and free from abnormalities.

Loco Body and Bogie

• Loco Body Securing Bolts: Verify in place and secure.
• Bogie Securing Bolts: Verify in place and secure.
• Safety Pins: Verify in place and secure.

Underframe Inspection

• Air Bellows: Inspect for signs of damage.

Brake System

• Brake Cylinder Securing Bolts: Ensure in place and secure.
• Slack Adjusters: Inspect for proper operation and adjustment.
• Brake Shoes: Inspect for wear and damage.
• Brake Riggings: Inspect for proper operation and adjustment.
• Safety Brackets: Ensure in place and secure.

Sanding System

• Sand Pipes: Check alignment with the rail.
• Sandboxes: Ensure dry fine sand is present.

WAG-5 & WAM-4 Only

• Load Bearer Oil Cups: Check oil level.
• Centre Pivot Oil Cups: Check oil level.
